It was a great event: For the fourth time logistics giant DHL invited to its Risk & Resilience conference at the DHL Innovation Center in Troisdorf. Numerous experts from around the world participated in this conference to discuss current challenges and practical approaches to foster risk and security management in the supply chain. Among these participants were also numerous members of ASIS Germany e. V. – a welcome opportunity to meet other peers.

Many exciting lectures have been on the conference’s agenda. Prof. Dr. Julia Bendul (RWTH Aachen University) gave a lecture on the effects of digitization on industry. Joe Robinson (Micron Technology) highlighted the importance of cross-functional collaboration for supply chain resilience. Vivek Syania (Google) examined potential approaches to mitigate BCM risks in high-tech transportation networks. One of the highlights of the day was the presentation by IT security expert and comedian Tobias Schrödel, who amusingly explained risks in dealing with IT.

Events like this one show the importance of an active exchange within the industry. ASIS Germany e. V. is aware of this and actively supports the expansion of professional networks. We thank our colleagues from DHL for the invitation to this special event.
