by Manuel Weller, Public Relations and Social Media Officer of ASIS Germany e. V.
For ASIS Germany e. V. it is a pleasure to honor two security experts who have excelled in promoting women in security. Dr. Cosima Eggers and Lynn de Vries have been actively involved in encouraging women in their industry for many years, therefore making a valuable contribution to greater diversity and gender equality. For this outstanding achievement, they have now been awarded the German Chapter Trophy
Dr. Cosima Eggers looks back on a long career in the security sector and is considered one of the few female security experts holding a leading position. She’s a doctor of Middle East and Islamic Studies and an Austrian native, and knows about the great challenges of women in the security industry. She began her own career in the Austrian Ministry of the Interior, where Dr. Eggers worked for several years in the field of counter-terrorism. After her role as CSO at Siemens, she worked as Senior Manager Country Security of Airbus Operations GmbH. Since April 2018 she has worked as an expert on illegal migration in Vienna.
Lynn de Vries also has a long career in security. She spent many years working for G4S in Finance, Aviation Security and Operations. Since 2015, she has been working as Chief Operation Officer at DutchRisk, concentrating on consulting in security and risk management. She is also CPP and PSI certified. For a long time she is actively involved in the "Women in Security" initiative of the ASIS Chapter Benelux. Since 2018, she also supports the "European Advisory Council: Women in Security" of ASIS International.
We thank Dr. Cosima Eggers and Lynn de Vries for their contribution and are pleased to acknowledge their special commitment by awarding the German Chapter Trophy.
