Sustainable initiatives should contribute to the promotion of young talent – including the board
By Manuel Weller, Public Relations & Social Media Officer of ASIS Germany e. V.
It's not a secret: in the security industry, seniority still plays a crucial role. But this cannot be the future – following this position, ASIS Germany e. V. has decided to act and become active. In the past years, the association has already focused on comprehensive initiatives to promote young talents. At the recent general assembly, this approach was reaffirmed. "We want to continuously rejuvenate ourselves - also within the board," says Chairman Oliver Fein.
With diversity and new ideas on a course for growth
In the past, young security experts have already been appointed to the Executive Board in order to improve diversity and ideas in own ranks. "Our success so far speaks for itself," says Fein confidently. And indeed: With currently more than 90 active members, the association is on a steady course for growth. Also in the future, the focus will be on young professionals to motivate them becoming engaged in the association. This was also reflected in the board elections results. With Andreas Seidel, ASIS Germany e. V. won a new board member. Uwe Röniger, Ante Gaspar and Udo Hempe no longer stood for election and hereby made way for a new appointment.
