ASIS initiated within the OSPA’s joint award with the ASW

ASIS Germany e.V. is taking another important step in strengthening the strategic partnership with the ASW: The ASIS „Young Professional“ initiative, dedicated to actively promoting young professional staff in the security industry, has now become a new category of the Outstanding Security Professional Awards (OSPAs). For the first time in the history of the German OSPAs, young professionals are now honored for their outstanding achievements.

The new 10th category: Outstanding young talent

The OSPAs are awarded annually in cooperation with the ASW for outstanding achievements of companies and persons from the security industry. Within the new 10th category, the independent jurors will now also distinguish three outstanding young professionals in this year’s award ceremony, taking place on 9 November 2017 in DRIVE. Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin. The award will be conferred by Denis Žiga, responsible for young professionals at ASIS Chapter Germany, and Oliver Fein, OSPA’s juror and chairman of ASIS Chapter Germany.

Outstanding impact on the security sector in the first years of profession

The new award is designed for all junior employees from the security industry with a maximum age of 30 years – regardless of the previous professional experience. No matter whether a trainee, student or professional, whether in corporate security, as a service provider, or in science: The precondition for applying in this category is an excellent performance within the first years of professional life. Thus, the award applies to those young people who have influenced the security industry in an outstanding manner. The application period has already begun and will end on 31 August 2017.
